The Circle of Courage is composed of high school students from Mississquoi Valley Union High School.  These students shared their Abenaki heritage with us through drumming and song.  We learned many things about the drum and the Abenaki beliefs.  Our students also were able to pass around rattles and a basket.  Paige was able to participate in an Abenaki dance.  It was a wonderful way to kick off our Native American unit!
