As part of our Social Studies Unit, “Where in the World is Colchester, VT”, we walked to Sam Mazza’s Farm Stand to visit their pumpkin patch.  When we returned to MBS with our pumpkins, we brainstormed pumpkin adjectives, wrote Pumpkin Poems and narratives from the pumpkin’s point of view, and had the choice to paint our pumpkin.  We also made maps showing our journey from MBS to Sam Mazza’s.  It was a wonderful experience!
