Snow Day at the Bay

Looks like our snow day worked! As we headed off for February vacation, snow was definitely coming down outside of our classroom. Most children wore white to celebrate our indoor snow day. At lunch, the children were treated to hot cocoa served by the student teachers, including our own, Ms. Copen. Our class had been working on a homework goal both individually and as a class. We ate our “white” sundaes today “recycling” our left-over ice cream from Valentine’s Day, topped with only white toppings: white chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, white chocolate covered pretzels, and of course whipped cream. After a hard week of finishing fables and beginning the Solar System, I think everyone enjoyed a special snack. What surprised me the most was the number of children who lined up for a top-off of Blueberry Ice Cream. Enjoy vacation week, check out the 2nd trimester report cards, and I’ll see everyone for parent conferences on March 6th.
